GETTING STARTED
- Texas Tech won the opening kickoff and elected to defer until the second half. Tech has won the opening kickoff now four times this season and elected to defer twice (last against New Mexico).
- Today's game was televised by Fox Sports Net and was Tech's third televised game of the season. Senior defensive end Adell Duckett did not play in today's game snapping a streak of 29 games as a starter. Duckett has been hampered all week due to injury suffered in last week's game against Kansas.
- Sophomore defensive end Keyunta Dawson made his first career start today in replacement of Adell Duckett.

NOTING THE RED RAIDERS
- Alex Trlica scored Texas Tech's first points of the game when he connected on a 32-yard field goal with 12:57 remaining in the second quarter. Trlica is now 2-for-2 on the season from the 30-39 yard range and is 3-for-5 on field goals attempts this season. Trlica's field goal at the 9:41 mark in the third quarter was his second of the game and he is now 2-for-2 from the 20-29 yard range.
- Junior running back Taurean Henderson's first reception of the game moved him into sole possession of third place on the all-time career reception list at Texas Tech. He surpassed Mickey Peters who had 196 receptions between 2000 and 2003.
- The Oklahoma touchdown in the third quarter was the first given up by the Texas Tech defense in the third period this season. The defensive unit had previously allowed just a single field goal in the third quarter of the season opener against SMU.
- Senior running back Johnnie Mack scored his second rushing touchdown of the season and his sixth rushing TD of his career. Mack now has nine career touchdowns (rushing and receiving).
