Texas Tech Rolls Over North Carolina-Asheville, 119-55

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Curtis Marshall scored a career-high 30 points, half of those off 3-pointers, to lead Texas Tech to a 119-55 victory over North Carolina-Asheville on Friday.
Marshall hit 11-of-14 from the field and 5-of-6 from 3-point range. He was one of eight Red Raiders to score in double figures. Jarrius Jackson scored 15 points. Drew Coffman scored 14 points, hitting 4-of-7 from 3-point range. LucQuente White and Damir Suljagic each scored 12 points.
The Red Raiders (1-0) jumped out to a 26-7 lead on a 20-2 run capped by Marshall's fourth 3-pointer of the night. They led 55-29 at the half.
Joseph Barber led N.C.-Asheville (0-1) with 13 points and Oliver Holmes added 12.
Texas Tech outscored N.C.-Asheville 46-12 in points off turnovers. Ronald Ross had six of Tech's 18 steals. He had 10 points, six rebounds and nine assists.
After one of the steals, Tech coach Bob Knight used the public address microphone to thank the crowd for coming to the game.
