Grant Doubtful for Season Opener

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head women's basketball coach Marsha Sharp announced today that junior point guard Erin Grant is doubtful for tomorrow night's season opener against Rice at the United Spirit Arena.
Grant, a native of Arlington, Texas, has a slight injury to her right foot, which is still being evaluated. The injury occurred in the Lady Raiders' exhibition game against Everyone's Internet last Monday night (Nov. 15).
Entering 2004-05, the 5-8 guard has started every game in her career at Tech and is currently ranked fourth on Tech's career list for assists with 443 and is on pace to break the school record of 603. Sophomore Brooke Baughman is expected to start for Grant tomorrow against the Lady Owls.
The Lady Raiders tip-off the season tomorrow night against Rice at 7 p.m.
