Lubbock, Texas - The No.45 Lady Raider golf team finished the first round of the St. Croix Collegiate Classic in St. Croix, VI, in fourth after it shot 317, 28-over par. Junior Megan Hull leads the way tied for fourth, shooting three over par, 75.

After shooting a four over par, sophomore Hazel Tan is tied for 12th, while freshmen Christine Kovalcik (77) and Leslie Wall (80) are tied for 12th and 25th, respectively, as individuals. Kovalcik ended the first round shooting five-over par, followed closely by Wall who ended the day at eight-over par. Senior Jackie Ey (82) and junior Kim Kolb (83) round out the top 40 tied for 36th and 39th, respectively. Sheila Mendez(86) tied for 53rd, rounds out the last of Tech's competitors.

Tech will hit the green for the second round of play just one stroke behind third-place Notre Dame at the Carambola Golf Course tomorrow. The 54-hole St.Croix Collegiate Classic will wrap up play Sunday March 14.
