Tech's Paulsen Enters ITA Rankings

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced today its tennis rankings for the week of March 22 and Texas Tech junior Jakob Paulsen is currently ranked No. 50 nationally for Division I tennis.

Paulsen recorded a stunning upset victory Sunday against the nation's No. 22 player, Divan Coetzee of New Mexico. Paulsen helped seal a victory for Tech with his upset win over Coetzee, 7-6, 4-6, 7-6.

Paulsen and the Red Raiders will play their first night match in school history against Texas on Fri., April 2, at 6 p.m. at the McLeod Tennis Center in Lubbock.
