
Tech's Kim Kolb Improves Game Through Summer Competitions

LUBBOCK, Texas - While other golf athletes are taking a break during the summer months from their competitive season life, Tech's senior Kim Kolb has decided to use her time improving her game. Kolb has since the season let out participated in two events as a low amateur receiving no prize money for her performance.
In Kolb's first event at the Collegiate Players Tour hosted in Tyler, Texas, she finished tied for fourth with a two round score of 76-78-154. Kolb most recently competed in the West Coast Ladies Golf Tour event in Scottsdale, Arizona where she finished in a her second fourth-place tie of the summer. Kolb turned in a three-round performance of 74-75-72-221.
Tech's Kolb is one of three seniors that will help lead the Lady Raider golf team as they start competition this fall. Kolb and the Lady Raiders will be looking to return to another top finish in the Big 12 conference, as well as return to the Regional competition where they fell just short of qualifying for the 2003 Nationals.
