Autograph/Fan Day Set for August 21

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech football fans will have the opportunity to meet and greet their favorite Red Raider players and coaches the evening of Sat., Aug. 21, at Jones SBC Stadium. Members of the 2004 Red Raider football team and staff will be available at 7:15 p.m. to sign autographs and pose for photographs with Red Raider fans of all ages. In addition to the football team, the Red Raider soccer and volleyball teams also will be on hand for autographs. A limited number of posters and markers will be available, but Tech fans are encouraged to bring their own items to be autographed by members of each team. The 2004 Texas Tech Football Media Guide also will be available for purchase for $20 at the event. "This is something we are really looking forward to," head coach Mike Leach said. "I have always maintained that Texas Tech has the best fans in the Big 12. The players, coaches and I are looking forward to visiting with them Saturday night." Brochures for the Guns Up Club will be available for those fans entering the eighth grade or lower. The $95 level entitles club members to a football season ticket and season tickets for volleyball, soccer, softball, men and women's tennis and track and field events and discounted tickets to men and women's basketball and baseball games. A $20 membership includes discounted tickets for men and women's basketball and baseball and entry to all other Tech sporting events with the exception of football. Fans are encouraged to park on the west side of Jones SBC Stadium and enter the stadium through the Southwest ramp near Gate 1. There will be no admission charge for the event.
