PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Texas Tech women's golf team competed over the weekend at the Stanford Pepsi Intercollegiate in Palo Alto, Calif. The Lady Raiders finished the tournament in 17^th place with a 918 overall score, while top-ranked Duke won the tournament with a team total of 834.

For the second consecutive tournament, senior Ashley Slavich finished as the Lady Raiders' highest placing individual, turning in back-to-back rounds of 72 in the second and third rounds to complete the tournament with a stroke total of 227, finishing in 52^nd place.

Sophomore Valerie Tan was only one shot off of Slavich's pace with a tournament score of 228 and also turned in Tech's lowest individual round at the event, a second round 68.

Redshirt freshman Megan Dowdy was Tech's third highest finisher in a tie for 73^rd place with a score of 231, while senior Hazel Tan and junior Marla Troester rounded out the Lady Raider contingency at the event, with scores of 238 and 240 respectively.

The Lady Raiders are back in action on Nov. 1-2 when they travel to Honolulu, Hawaii, to take part in the Kent Youel Invitational.
