Lady Raiders Finish 11th at the Kent Youel Invitational

HONOLULU, Hawaii - The Texas Tech women's golf team completed competition at the Kent Youel Invitational on Wednesday with the final round of the tournament at the Kapolei Golf Course in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Lady Raiders turned in a team-score of 314 in the third round to complete the tournament in 11^th place with a team stroke total of 951.

Senior Ashley Slavich posted the team's lowest round with a 76 in the final round of the tournament for the Lady Raiders and finished 58^th place with 242 strokes. Freshman Gloriana Soto finished the final round of the tournament with a round total of 77, giving her a total of 232 strokes for the tournament and tying her for 24^th place. Junior Marla Troester also finished with an overall stroke total 234 and ended the day tied for 30^th place. Redshirt freshman Megan Dowdy and freshman Brynn Anderson both shot a third round total of 84, ending the tournament in 68^th and 73^rd place respectively.   

The event is last of the fall season for the Lady Raiders. The team will kick-off its spring season on Feb. 20-21 when they travel to Parrish, Fla., to participate in the Central Region Invitational.
