Coach Keith Richard
Opening Statement
"First I want to mention that I am happy about our win. I think Tech's injuries had an effect on today's win. Our offensive and defensive plays really worked about as well as we wanted. We defended man-to-man really well for about 40 minutes. Defensively, we guarded the three-point line really well and guarded Jackson well, which was one of our main goals going into the game tonight. Offensively, we remained patient, which was something we have not done in the past few games. Last but not least, Paul Millsap had a very good game offensively and defensively."
On Tech's injuries and reasons for man-to-man defense
"Dora makes a big difference when he is on the court is the reason why we started playing man-to-man defense. Although he does not have a high shooting percentage, he is still a threat at the three-point line. His absence shows you that you have to make the best out of the situation."
Texas Tech
Coach Bob Knight
Opening Statement
"We got started off poorly in the beginning, which was similar to the San Francisco game. We didn't make our first two buckets of the game, which didn't help us out either."
