LUBBOCK, Texas - The No.45 Texas Tech women's golf team wrapped up the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in 17th at the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas. Junior Hazel Tan paced the Lady Raiders shooting an 82 in the third round.
Tech golfers again struggled in the third round at the Longhorn invitational as no Lady Raider shot below an 82.
Leading the way for the Raiders was senior Kim Kolb (76-83-84-241) who finished tied for 42nd, followed by junior Hazel Tan (82-78-82-242) tied for 50th.
Rounding out the Lady Raiders are senior Megan Hull (83-80-84-247, t66th), freshman Valerie Tan (84-85-84-253, t82nd) and senior Sheila Mendez (89-86-86-261, t92nd). Finishing tied for 76th was junior Ashley Slavich (254), who competed as an individual for the Lady Raiders, shooting an 80 first round followed by a pair of 87s.
Leading the team leaderboard was No.1 Duke (307-307-300-914) in first, followed by No.8 Oklahoma State (310-306-299-915) in second. Rounding out the top five were host No.24 Texas (313-308-303-924-third), No.7 Arizona State (315-308-303-926-fourht) and No.17 Arkansas (309-302-316-927) in fifth.
The Lady Raiders will be back in action March 24-26 at the Baylor/Tapatio Springs Shootout in Boerne, Texas.
