Red Raiders Drop 3-1 Heartbreaker to Boise State

Lubbock, Texas- The Texas Tech volleyball team ended their six-match win streak with a 3-1 loss to Boise State this afternoon. The Red Raiders now sit at 6-3 on the season.
Philister Sang and Jamye Pauley were named to the all-tournament team for their efforts this weekend. Sang tallied two double-doubles against Georgia (25 kills, 12 digs) and Boise State (10 kills, 11 digs) and notched 52 kills and 29 digs for the tournament. Pauley chipped in with 21 kills, two solo blocks and 16 block assists.
Emily Ziegler and Holly Hicks shared the duties at setter this weekend. Ziegler posted a double-double (21 assists and 13 digs) against San Diego State and totaled 74 assists and 23 digs in the three matches. Hicks added 69 assists and 16 digs to her season totals.
Tech volleyball will begin Big 12 Conference action when they host the Baylor Bears, Wed. Sept., 14, at 7 p.m., at the United Spirit Arena.
