Lady Raiders Finish in Tenth at UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - In the final round of the 2006 UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational the Texas Tech women's golf team fired a 316 to finish with a three-round total of 921 to finish in a tie for tenth at the event.

Redshirt freshman Megan Dowdy was Tech's leader at the event turning in a tei for 28th finish at the event with an 11-over par three round total of 227. Senior Ashley Slavich slowly climbed up the leader board to finish in a tie for 39th after closing the event with her best round of the week with a third-round 76.

Freshman Ulrika Van Niekerk ended in a tie for 48th place with an event total of 233, while fellow first-year player Gloriana Soto was only two shots back in a tie fir 61st with a 235.

Junior Marla Troester completed the Tech squad at the event, ending in a tie for 84th place with a 244.
