Christian Rojmar Earns Big 12 Honor

Lubbock, Texas - Freshman Christian Rojmar has been named the Big 12 Men's Tennis Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference office, on Tuesday. The awards are the third for Big 12 tennis during the 2006 spring season.
Rojmar recorded two victories at No. 3 singles last week, with wins against Mississippi State and VCU. The freshman had a 6-1, 6-1 victory versus the No. 44 Bulldogs in the first match of the Blue-Gray Invitational in Montgomery, Ala. He followed with a 6-4, 6-1 tally win against the No. 26 Rams. Rojmar also posted a 1-1 record at doubles with Adrian Prpic.
Rojmar has a singles record of 9-3 on the season while playing at No. 2 and No. 3. With partner Prpic, he has posted a doubles record of 6-4 while playing at the No. 1 position.
The Red Raiders will travel to Houston to face Purdue, Fri., March 24.
