Lady Raiders Romp Northeastern, 82-51

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Texas Tech women's basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season after thumping Northeastern, 82-57, in its final game of the UCF Knights Classic in Orlando, Fla., today. The Lady Raiders were the only team in the classic to go undefeated.
The hot hand of sophomore Raquel Christian got the Lady Raiders (2-0) on a roll in the first half as she was 4-4 from the field - all three-point baskets. Tech was 6-9 from three-point range in the first 20 minutes of play. The Lady Raiders shot 55.6 percent from the field to Northeastern's (1-1) 18.9 percent in the first period. Tech held a 41-20 advantage at halftime.
Tech dominated the whole game from the very first basket and led the entire game. The Lady Raiders' largest lead of the game was 33 points at 75-42 with just over five and half minutes to go in the game.
Leading the way for Tech was junior Dominic Seals, who recorded her second-straight double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Christian finished with 14 points, while juniors Tiny Henderson and Keisha Walker both chipped in 10 points. Junior Maria Moore dished out a career-high eight assists and Walker tallied three steals.
On the day, the Lady Raiders shot 58.5 percent from the field to the Huskies' 27.7 percent. Tech outrebounded Northeastern 46-28.
Tech returns to action on Tues., Nov. 13, for its home opener against IPFW at 7 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena.
