Seals Named Big 12 Rookie of the Week

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's Dominic Seals has been named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week, by a media voting panel for games from Dec. 17-22. This is the first time Seals has been recognized by the conference.
Seals scored a career-best 20 points for the second-straight game and grabbed 13 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season as she led Texas Tech to a 30-point victory over Oral Roberts. The Dallas, Texas, native shot 60 percent from the field, going 6-for-10. Seals was perfect from the charity stripe as she connected on all eight free throw attempts. She also tied her career-high two assists and added a block and a steal. On the year, Seals paces the Lady Raiders in scoring with a 13.4 average and leads the team in rebounding at 9.0 boards. She is shooting 53.5 percent from the field and a team-best 74.1 percent from the free throw line. Seals is second on the team in blocks with 14.
Baylor's Danielle Wilson picked up the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors for games from Dec. 17-22.
