Red Raiders in Austin on Tuesday

The Texas Tech Red Raiders (17-10, 6-6) will tip-off against #19 University of Texas Longhorns (19-7, 9-3) on Tuesday evening at 8 PM in the Erwin Center.
Tuesday's game is televised on ESPN Plus with Dave Armstrong calling the play-by-play and Reid Gettys providing the game analysis.
Game coverage in the Lubbock area will be provided by KMYL-TV and can be seen on Dish Network (Channel 144), Suddenlink Cable (Channel 6), and over the air Channel 14.
Texas Tech and Texas are meeting for the 119th time since the series began on December 15, 1939. Texas now holds a 66-52 lead in the series. The Red Raiders have a 28-22 margin when the teams have played in Lubbock. The Longhorns have a 37-21 edge when the teams have played in Austin. Texas holds a 7-3 edge on neutral courts.
In their first meeting in Lubbock, Texas Tech held a 42-38 lead at the half. The teams were within a point (TT 57 UT 56) with 8:45 remaining in the game as Texas slowly pulled away for a 76-64 win. Kevin Durant led all scorers with 37 points and 23 rebounds. The only other Longhorn player in double figures was D.J. Augustin with 14 points. Jarrius Jackson led the Red Raiders with 27 points. Jon Plefka scored 14 points. Martin Zeno had his second double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
The Red Raiders defeated sixth-ranked Texas A&M (77-75) in College Station on February 13. Jarrius Jackson led all scorers with 31 points. Jay's point total included a basket with one second remaining in the first half and the game winning shot he sank with one second remaining in the game.
On February 17, Texas Tech stopped Colorado (95-74) at the United Spirit Arena. Jarrius Jackson led all scorers with 28 points. Martin Zeno dropped in 24 points. Charlie Burgess scored 16 points. Alan Voskuil added 10 points for the Red Raiders.
For his efforts against Texas A&M and Colorado, Jarrius Jackson was selected as the Big 12 Player of the Week. Jay has now scored 2,104 career points and is second to Andre Emmett's (Texas Tech) all games played point total of 2,256 established between the 2001-2004 seasons.
The Red Raiders feature two players averaging double-figures for the 2006-2007 season. Jarrius Jackson's 20.7 points per game is third in the Big 12 Conference. Martin Zeno's 17.0 points per game ranks sixth (tie) in the conference.
Steve Dale will call the courtside action along with Ted Chidester as analyst on the Texas Tech Sports Network (KKAM 1340 AM and KQBR 99.5 FM).
Texas Tech returns to the United Spirit Arena on Saturday, February 24 for their 11 AM game against Oklahoma State. Television coverage will be provided by CBS.
The Red Raiders play their last conference home game of the season against Baylor on February 28. The game will get underway at 7 PM and will be televised on the Texas Tech Television Network.
The Raiders travel to Ames, Iowa for their final conference game of the season on March 3. ESPN Plus will provide game coverage beginning at 7 PM.
