Red Raider Tennis Knocks Out Lamar 4-0

LUBBOCK, Texas - Despite a freezing wind chill and cold temperatures, the Texas Tech men's tennis team was able to squeeze out a 4-0 win today over the Lamar Cardinals. The Red Raiders next host the New Mexico State Aggies on Sun., April 8, at noon.
The match began with singles due to anticipated poor weather conditions. It was Tech's bottom half of the line-up that got it done for the Scarlet and Black. The first win came from Michael Breler in the No. 4 position over David Wanja 6-3, 6-0, followed by Christian Rojmar with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Lamar's Emmanuel Olivier.
At No. 6, Milos Kustudija notched in another singles win and Tech's third point over Tyler Cobb 6-1, 6-2. To cap the day, Sinisa Markovic clinched the match playing at No. 3, winning 6-1, 6-2 over Maciej Bogusz. The remaining two matches were called due to the weather.
The Red Raiders return to action on Sun., April 8, at noon at McLeod Tennis Center. If weather conditions are unplayable, the match will be held inside at the Lubbock Country Club at 9 a.m. For more information and complete results, visit www.texastech.com.
