Van der Drift falls in Semis of Racquet Club Invite

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's women's tennis senior Samantha van der Drift lost in to eventual champion Mary Weatherholt of Nebraska in the semifinals at the Midland Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational.
Van der Drift was the only Lady Raider playing on Sunday, fell 6-1, 6-1 in the semifinals. Weatherholt beat the No. 1 seed Elze Potgieter of Texas A&M 6-7, 6-3, 10-7 to win the championship.
The Lady Raiders travel to Ft. Worth, Texas to compete in the ITA Regionals.
