Carvalho Advances to Singles Main Draw

LUBBOCK, Texas - Freshman Raony Carvalho was one of 16 players to advance to the singles main draw Wednesday at the ITA All-American Championship in Tulsa, Okla.

In his third round match of the singles qualifying bracket, Carvalho downed Bartosz Golas of San Diego State in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. He will face Virginia's Sanam Singh at 8 a.m. Thursday in the first round of the singles main draw.

Carvahlo will also team with fellow Red Raider Christian Rojmar Thursday afternoon as the duo faces Auburn's Tim Puetz and Alexey Tsyrenov at 5:30 p.m. For brackets of the main draws, please visit www.itatennis.com.
