USBWA Names Alan Voskuil to All-District First Team

Lubbock, TX -- The U.S. Basketball Writers Association has released its 2007-2008 Men's All-District Teams, based on voting from its national membership.
Texas Tech junior guard, Alan Voskuil was named to the USBWA All-District First Team. Alan is one of the ten players chosen by the USBWA among all players in District VII, which comprises Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
The junior from Hurst, Texas is averaging 12.9 ppg for the 2007-2008 season. Last season he averaged 4.2 ppg and scored 3.6 ppg as a freshman. He has scored double figures in 21 games this season with a career best of 30 points against KSU. Alan was recently named to the All-Improved squad by media members covering the Big 12 Conference.
He joins former Red Raiders Andy Ellis, Andre Emmett, and Jarrius Jackson who were also honored by the USBWA.
