Carvalho to Compete in ITA All-American Championships

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech sophomore Raony Carvalho will play in his first tennis tournament of the fall as he competes in the ITA All-American Tennis Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla., Oct. 8-11.
The 25th-ranked Carvalho, who will play in the singles main draw, finished his stellar freshman campaign as the Big 12 Freshman of the Year. He posted a 26-14 singles record last year, including a 14-9 mark in dual action, as Tech's No. 1 player.
The qualifying singles and doubles of the tournament started Mon., Oct. 5, and run through Wed., Oct. 7, followed by the main draw singles and doubles Thurs., Oct. 8-Sun., Oct. 11.
After the ITA All-American Championships, the Red Raiders will conclude their fall play at the ITA Regionals in College Station, Texas, Oct. 24-27.
