Red Raiders Host Cowboys on Wednesday

Lubbock, TX - The Texas Tech Red Raiders (12-13, 2-8) meet the Cowboys of Oklahoma State University (15-9, 4-6) at the United Spirit Arena on Wednesday evening at 8:30 PM.
The game will be televised on ESPN2 with Terry Gannon calling the play-by-play. Stephen Bardo will provide the game analysis.
Texas Tech and Oklahoma State are meeting for the 44th time since the series began on January 1, 1937. Overall, Oklahoma State leads the series 30-13. Texas Tech has the edge in Lubbock, 7-6. Oklahoma State has won 18 of 22 games in Stillwater. OSU has the edge on neutral courts, 6-2.
In their first meeting on February 4 in Stillwater, the Red Raiders led at halftime, 47-35. Texas Tech shot 56.7% (17-of-30) to Oklahoma State's 35.1% (13-of-37). OSU began chipping away at Tech's lead in the second half and took their first lead with 2:47 remaining in the game.
The shooting percentages were reversed in the second half as OSU hit 12-of-23 shots (.522) to Texas Tech's 11-of-34 (.324). Eaton (OSU) made 18-of-20 free throw attempts to Tech's 9-of-10 attempts in the second half to become the game's deciding factor. The contest in Stillwater was tied once and the lead changed five times before OSU emerged as the 81-80 winner.
Oklahoma State is 15-9 this season, including a 4-6 mark in conference play after their 86-67 win over Iowa State on Saturday. James Anderson leads the Cowboys with his 17.7 points per game average. Byron Eaton is averaging 14.5 points and six assists per game. Terrel Harris is averaging 14.3 points per game. Obi Muonelo is adding 14.1 points and grabbing a team-leading 8.3 rebounds per game.
Texas Tech is 12-13 overall this season and 2-8 in league play after their 95-74 loss at Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore John Roberson leads the squad with 14.4 points and 6.6 assists per game while senior Alan Voskuil is dropping in 14 points and shooting 44.8 percent from beyond the three-point line. Mike Singletary is averaging 10.2 points off the bench. Junior Nick Okorie is averaging 10 points per game after his 24-point performance against Oklahoma.
Alan Voskuil, the senior from L.D. Bell High School in Bedford, Texas, needs two points to reach 1,000 career points. He will be the thirty-second Red Raider to join the 1000-Point Club and the seventh player to reach that level since Pat Knight has either been the head coach or an assistant coach at Texas Tech.
Following the game in Lubbock on Wednesday evening, the Red Raiders host the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday, February 21.
