- Texas Tech now leads the all-time series against New Mexico 56-34-1 but the Lobos have now won two-straight in the series dating back to a 7-2 win in Albuquerque on April 9, 2008.
- Tonight's attendance of 2,011 marked Tech's highest attended midweek game since a 7-2 win over No. 10 Arizona State back on April 17, 2006. On that night, 3,012 Red Raider fans piled through the gates at Dan Law Field.
- Tonight's 13-10 setback to New Mexico marked the first loss for Texas Tech Head Coach Dan Spencer as his record now stands at 4-1 in his first season at the helm of the Red Raiders.
- Senior first baseman Chris Richburg blasted his second home run of the season in the second inning (three-run blast) and the dinger marked the 10th of his career.
- Freshman designated hitter Scott LeJeune turned in his best performance of the season as he went 3-for-5 at the plate with one RBI.
- Tonight's game went 3:39 and marked the longest of the season by a 12-minute margin. Tech and UT-Pan American went 3:27on Sunday afternoon.
