Freshman third baseman Justin Berry had his 11-game hit streak come to an end this afternoon after going 0-for-4.
Junior shortstop Joey Kenworthy extended his current hit streak to seven games with a leadoff single in the fourth.
Junior RHP Nate Karns tied his career high for innings pitched as he went 5 1/3 innings while allowing four runs on three hits and walked five. He previously went 5 1/3 against Missouri on March 28, 2008.
The Tech bullpen surrendered seven runs in the eighth and ninth innings this afternoon. Of Tech's 89 runs allowed this year, 38 have come between the seventh and ninth.
