Red Raiders take on Cyclones in Ames

Lubbock, TX -- The Texas Tech Red Raiders (13-17, 3-12) meet the Iowa State Cyclones (14-16, 3-12) on Saturday afternoon in Ames, Iowa.
The game will tip at 12:45 PM (Central) on the Big 12 Network. In Lubbock, the game can be seen on KMYL-TV.
ESPN Full Court and ESPN360 will also broadcast the game.
Mitch Holtus will call the play-by-play. Eric Heft will provide the game analysis.
John Harris will call Saturday afternoon's action against the Cyclones along with analyst Corky Oglesby on the Texas Tech Sports Network local station Sports Radio 1340.
The Red Raiders and the Cyclones are meeting for 17th time since the series began on December 8, 1955. Each team has won eight games. Texas Tech has won five-of-seven games in Lubbock and Iowa State has won five-of-seven games in Ames. Each team has a neutral court win.
Iowa State is 14-16 for the season and they are 3-12 in Big 12 play. The Cyclones have one player averaging double figures for the season. Craig Brackins leads his team with 20.0 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Diante Garrett follows with 9.6 points per game. Lucca Staiger adds 8.3 points per game.
Senior Alan Voskuil leads the Red Raiders with 14.5 points per game. John Roberson is averaging in 14.1 points and 6.5 assists per game. Nick Okorie is adding 11.4 points per game and has scored 130 points in his last seven games. Mike Singletary is averaging 11.0 points off the bench.
At the beginning of the week, Alan Voskuil and John Roberson were among the nation's leaders in several categories. Alan is ninth nationally in three-point field goal percentage and his 2.7 three-pointers per game is 60th among D-1 players. John's 6.5 assists per game for the season ranks seventh nationally and his 83 percent free throw mark is 88th.
On the national level, Texas Tech's offense of 78.3 points per game is 28th while their 15.8 assists per game holds down the 30th spot.
The Red Raiders defeated their first ranked opponent of the season in their 84-65 win over # 9 Kansas on "Senior Night" at the United Spirit Arena on Wednesday evening.
Alan Voskuil established a career high and led both teams in scoring with 35 points. His nine three-pointers against Kansas is the best single-game mark for all Red Raiders. Alan has scored 1,083 points in his career.
Sophomore Mike Singletary recorded his second double-double of the year with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Nick Okorie, the junior from South Plains College, added 17 points and was perfect from the free throw line in ten attempts.
Texas Tech will begin play next Wednesday in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Championship at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Red Raiders' first-round opponent and game time will be finalized after the conclusion of the conference games played tomorrow.
