- Today's loss to Missouri gives the Tigers a 24-19 lead in the all-time series and their second straight sweep of the Red Raiders at Taylor Stadium. Tech has not won a game here since the series finale in 2005.
- The series sweep is the first of the year over the Red Raiders. The last time Tech was swept was at Kansas last season.
- Sophomore RHP Chad Bettis allowed a career-high 11 runs on 11 hits and five walks over 4 1/3 innings of relief.
- Junior shortstop Joey Kenworthy led the offense with a 3-for-4 day at the plate with one RBI.
