LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Red Raiders (12-4, 0-2) travel to Lawrence, Kansas, for Saturday's game with the No. 3 Kansas Jayhawks (15-1, 1-0).
The game will be televised on the Big 12 Network with Dave Armstrong calling the play-by-play and Jon Sundvold providing the game analysis.
In Lubbock, game coverage will begin at 12:30 PM on KJTV-TV.
The conference match-up is also featured on ESPN Full Court and ESPN360.com.
The Red Raiders and the Jayhawks will be meeting for the 22nd time since the series began on December 7, 1959. Kansas leads the series 17-4. Over the last six seasons, each team has won on their home court.
Texas Tech completed non-conference play with twelve wins and two losses. The Red Raiders won all ten games at the United Spirit Arena and had two wins and two losses on the road.
Kansas ended non-conference play with fourteen wins and one loss. The loss was at Tennessee in their final non-conference game, 76-68.
The Jayhawks won their opening conference game at Nebraska on January 13, 84-72.
Kansas posts 85.0 points per game and has held their opponents to 60.6 points each game. They have four players averaging double figures. Sherron Collins leads his squad with 16.0 points per game. Xavier Henry is scoring 15.1 points per game and Marcus Morris is adding 11.1 points per game. Cole Aldrich is averaging 10.6 Points and 10.4 rebounds per game.
Texas Tech lost their first home game of the season to Missouri in overtime on Wednesday, 94-89. It was the second conference loss for the Red Raiders.
The Tigers led by 10 points at the 2:44 mark in the second half. The Red Raiders tied the game on two successful John Roberson free throws with 16 seconds remaining in the game.
The Tigers outscored the Red Raiders in overtime 15-10 for the win.
After going scoreless for the first time in his collegiate career at OSU, John Roberson bounced back to score 25 points against Missouri, all of them in the second half.
Mike Singletary, the junior from Humble, Texas, gained his second double-double of the season with 12 points and 17 rebounds against Missouri. His rebounding total for the game is a career best.
Mark Finkner will call the courtside action along with analyst Corky Oglesby on the Texas Tech Sports Network flagship station Double T 104.3 from Allen Fieldhouse. The game is also featured on Sirius channel 154.
The Red Raiders are back in action at the United Spirit Arena on Wednesday, January 20, for their 6:30 PM game against the Iowa State Cyclones.
Texas Tech hosts Oklahoma on Saturday, January 23 in a 7 PM game.
