Red Raiders Ready for Clash with Aggies

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech (16-7/4-5) takes on conference rival Texas A&M (17-6/6-3) at the United Spirit Arena on Saturday at 4 PM.
The Red Raiders are encouraging everyone to come out and wear black to Saturday's game.
The game is featured on ESPN2 and ESPN360 with Jon Sciambi delivering the play-by-play and LaPhonso Ellis providing the game analysis.
On the radio, Mark Finkner will call the courtside action along with analyst Corky Oglesby on the Texas Tech Sports Network flagship station Double T 104.3. The game is also broadcast on Sirius Radio channel 126.
Texas Tech and Texas A&M are meeting for the 122nd time since the series began on December 17, 1941. Overall, Texas Tech leads the series 64-57. The Red Raiders have a 36-18 margin in Lubbock and a 6-4 edge on neutral courts.
Texas A&M won the game on January 30, 85-70, and now has a 35-22 lead in College Station. A&M's Donald Sloan led all players with 26 points. David Loubeau scored 19 points. Bryan Davis added 15 points.
David Tairu was the leading scorer for the Red Raiders with 13 points. Mike Singletary dropped in 11 points, and Nick Okorie had 10 points.
Texas A&M has two active players averaging in double figures for the season. Donald Sloan leads the team with 18.5 points per game. Bryan Davis adds 10.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
For the season, A&M is posting 73.7 points per game while their defense is allowing opponents 65.7 points per contest. In conference play, the Aggies have averaged 70.8 points each outing while their opponents have scored 69.9 points per game.
Texas A&M is 6-4 in Big 12 play. Their wins have been at home over Nebraska, Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas Tech, and Baylor. The Aggies are 1-3 on the road in league play. They lost at Kansas State, at Texas in overtime, and at Oklahoma State. Their win on the road was at Missouri, 77-74.
Texas Tech is averaging 77.7 points per game for the season and allowing their opponents 74.5 points per game.
The Red Raiders have three players in double figures for the season. Mike Singletary tops the squad with 15.5 points per contest. John Roberson follows with 15.1 points per game. David Tairu adds 10.6 points each game coming off the bench.
Texas Tech is averaging 73.7 points per conference outing and has allowed their opponents 80.6 points per game.
The Red Raiders are 4-5 in Big 12 action. They have wins over Iowa State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and, most recently, at Oklahoma.
Texas Tech's 72-71 win at Norman on February 6 was the first league road win for the Red Raiders since topping Colorado in Boulder on February 20, 2008, 87-69.
Red Raider losses have been to Missouri, in overtime, at home and on the road to OSU, Kansas, Texas, and Texas A&M.
Texas Tech travels to Waco for Tuesday's 7 PM game against Baylor. The Red Raiders return home next Saturday in a 1 PM showdown with Texas.
