Texas Tech at Mississippi for NIT Quarterfinals

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Red Raiders travel to Oxford, Mississippi, for their NIT quarterfinal game with the University of Mississippi Rebels at the Tad Smith Coliseum on Tuesday beginning at 6 PM Central.
The game is televised on ESPN with Jon Sciambi delivering the play-by-play. LaPhonso Ellis will provide the game analysis. Additionally, ESPN will have the game on ESPN360.com and ESPN MobileTV.
Red Raider fans can also listen to Mark Finkner and Corky Oglesby on Double T 104.3.
The No. 5 seed Red Raiders won at No. 4 seed Seton Hall in the first round, 87-69, and then topped No. 8 Jacksonville in Lubbock, 69-64, on March 20.
The No. 2 Rebels defeated No. 7 Troy 84-65 in the first round and then had a 90-81 win over No. 3 Memphis on Friday.
The Red Raiders have won the four previous meetings with the Rebels. Tuesday's game will be the first meeting between the two teams since Texas Tech won at Mississippi on December 8, 1975, 57-51.
Mississippi (23-10), a member of the Southeastern Conference, has averaged 78.5 points per game and has allowed their opponents to score 70.3 points per game.
Chris Warren is the only Ole Miss player to have started each game this season. He leads his squad with 17.1 points per game and is shooting just over 40 percent from beyond the three-point line for the season.
Terrico White is their second leading scorer with 15.0 points per outing. He had 21 points in their win over Memphis and was the leading scorer in the game.
The Red Raiders, 19-15 for the season, defeated No. 8 Jacksonville at the United Spirit Arena on Saturday, 69-64. After trailing 35-28 at the half, Texas Tech improved their play at both ends of the court. The Red Raider defense held the Dolphins to 29 points in the second half, and the Texas Tech offense produced 41 points.
Brad Reese, the junior from Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Florida, led both teams with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Texas Tech has three players averaging double figures for the season. John Roberson tops the squad with 14.8 points per game. Mike Singletary scores 14.6 points per game. Nick Okorie chips in 10.8 points per game.
The winner of the Texas Tech/Mississippi game advances to New York City's Madison Square Garden, site of the March 30 semifinals and April 1 championship game.
