LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech donned the shoulder pads for the first time this spring as the Red Raiders worked through a three-hour session Friday afternoon on the Jones AT&T Stadium turf. The team is expected to be in full pads for Saturday's scrimmage.
SATURDAY SCRIMMAGE: Texas Tech will conduct its first scrimmage of the spring season at 1:30 p.m. Saturday and the public is encouraged to attend. Different from regular practice days, fans are asked to enter the stadium through Gate 1 and sit in sections 4, 5 and 6. The team will work through approximately 130 plays.
INDECISIVE: The wind blew for the second straight practice, this time from the south. Tech faced chilly winds out of the north Wednesday, and can expect the same Saturday, according to forecasts.
ATTENDANCE: Fan turnout has been good the first three days, and Coach Tuberville and the team would like to encourage all fans to take a moment and attend one of this spring's workouts. All practices are held at Jones AT&T Stadium. The Red Raiders' next practice following Saturday's scrimmage is Monday at 3 p.m.
