LUBBOCK, Texas - Coming off of a stellar senior season, Rosalyn Kim looks to finish her Texas Tech career strong as she opens up play tomorrow morning in the 2010 NCAA Women's Golf Championships held at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C hosted by the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
Kim earned her spot in the NCAA Championships after finishing the East Regional at 4-under par with rounds of 70, 69 and 73 for a three-round total of 212 en route to a third-place individual medalist finish. This will mark her first career appearance at the NCAA Championships.
"I am so pleased that Rosalyn will get the chance to go to the championships in her final year," said Texas Tech head coach JoJo Robertson. "She has definitely been a big factor in our success this year and I couldn't be happier for her to end her senior season this way."
As the lone senior on the young Lady Raider squad, the Belton, Texas native has been the lead anchor for this year's team. She recorded a seventh place finish at the Big 12 Championships held April 23-25 in Norman, Okla. while also owning two other top 10 finishes this year.
Kim will tee off in first-round action at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday morning. Live statistics of all three rounds can be followed daily at www.ncaa.com or www.golfstat.com while the third and fourth rounds (holes 16, 17 and 18) of the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships will be streamed live online at NCAA.com.
