Mike Singletary on his double-double performance: "We made some layups early in the game and shots were falling and I felt comfortable. It was a really good crowd and I liked the game atmosphere. We've shot well as a team in our last two games. But there wasn't a plan for any of us to take shots more than any others. We just run our motion offense, and tonight we worked hard to get open and also to find the open man."
D'walyn Roberts on guarding No. 23 (Vanderbeken): "The idea was to make him drive the ball or to pass it off. He's an excellent outside shooter and I was trying to not let him shoot any three-pointers."
Texas Tech Head Coach Pat Knight
What has gotten into your players over these last two games: "Each of our seniors stepped up tonight and showed what they are capable of doing and what I've seen them do in practices. They played very well and set up their cuts and continued to be active at both ends of the court. We made some mistakes when ISU put pressure on us near the end of the game. We'll watch some tape on those situations and work to eliminate those errors.
On getting a win on the road: "Happiness to coaches is a win on the road. Iowa State is an excellent team and to come to Ames and get a win is very good for us. I'm also very glad for our players. They work hard every day in practice and their efforts in practice don't always show up in the record. So I'm really pleased for them. Tomorrow we'll be back on the court to prepare for the next game. "
