Gonzalo Escobar advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Texas Regionals in College Station.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - No. 1 overall seed Gonzalo Escobar won a pair of matched on Saturday to pace Texas Tech and advance to the quarterfinals in singles at the ITA Texas Regionals head at Texas A&M University.
Escobar defeated Paul Chappell of TCU in straight sets, before knocking off ninth seeded Lars Behlen of Baylor to advance to the quarterfinals.
In doubles, the third-seeded duo of Rafael Garcia and Gabriel Wanderley advanced to the Round of 16.
