Manzini Wins First Round at ITA All-American

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's Vitor Manzini won his first round match in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Men's All-American Championships in the qualifying singles round held in Tulsa, Okla.
"It was a good first match for Vitor," assistant coach Marcello Ferreira said. "He played consistently throughout the match and didn't have any loose points."
Manzini beat Ulrik Thomsen of George Washington in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2 to advance to the second round. He will face the winner of Jenson Turner of Pepperdine or Niall Angus of Texas A&M in round two tomorrow.
Round two of the ITA All-American Championships will begin tomorrow morning.
