Rafael Garcia won his first round singles match at the Southwest Conference Shootout.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Rafael Garcia and Jeff Bryan each won the first round of their respective flights at the Southwest Conference Shootout on Friday.
Garcia toppled TCU's Orlando Superlano, 6-3, 7-5 in Flight A, while Bryan upended UTA's Nicholas Moreno, 6-3, 6-2 in Flight D.
Bryan combined with Raphael Pfister to win their first round match in Flight B doubles.
The teams return to action on Saturday on the campus of Texas Christian University.
