Lewandowski's Double-Double Paces Red Raiders To Exhibition Win

LUBBOCK, Texas - Senior Robert Lewandowski led five players in double figures, as Texas Tech rolled to an impressive 119-80 win over Our Lady of the Lake University, Saturday night at the United Spirit Arena.
It was the final tune-up exhibition game for the Red Raiders, who open the season on Friday at 8:30 p.m. against Troy under new head coach Billy Gillispie.
Lewandowski finished the night with 25 points and 12 rebounds and added a perfect 13-for-13 performance from the free throw line. In two exhibition games, the senior from Kansas has connected on 19 of 21 from the charity stripe.
Joining Lewandowski in double figures was Terran Pettaway, who had a double-double (17 points and 10 rebounds), Jordan Tolbert (23 points), Toddrick Gotcher (14 points) and DeShon Minnis (11 points).
OLLU used an up-tempo style, forcing 30 Texas Tech turnovers, but also fouling 46 times during the game. Texas Tech shot 67 free throws in the contest, making 54 on the night. It marked the second straight game that the Red Raiders had hit better than 76 percent from the free throw line.
Texas Tech has now shot better than 50 percent in both exhibition games, connecting on 63.3 percent from the field against the Saints on Saturday.
