Texas Tech junior forward Kierra Mallard scored 18 points and had a career-high 15 rebounds for her third double-double of the season and 19th of her career. Mallard has led Tech in rebounding in all but two games this season and is averaging 11.3 rebounds per game.

Texas Tech extended its non-conference home winning streak to 38 games with the 70-66 win over Penn State. The Lady Raiders have not lost a non-conference game at home since Dec. 4, 2007. Tech has now won 10 consecutive games at home overall. Tech's last home loss was to Texas A&M (79-65) on Feb. 5.
