LUBBOCK, Texas - The third annual Texas Tech baseball alumni game will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. Fans will have a chance to see the 2012 Red Raiders along with former Tech players with alumni action beginning at noon with the "Old Timers Game." The alumni game will follow with a scheduled 1 p.m. first pitch.
"This is a great opportunity for our former players to return to campus," fourth-year head coach Dan Spencer said. "It also gives our players a challenge a week before Opening Day against a lot of our solid former players. It is a great weekend each year and one that we are looking forward to."
The weekend will begin with an alumni dinner at the Texas Tech baseball clubhouse on Friday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m., for alumni and their families.
The Red Raiders will open the 2012 season with Opening Day at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park on Friday, Feb. 17 against Missouri State with a 4 p.m. first pitch.
