Both Texas Tech Tennis Teams Ranked In Top 25

LUBBOCK - Both Texas Tech tennis teams stayed in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Top 25 rankings this week, as the Red Raiders are No. 23 and the Lady Raiders are at No. 20.
Texas Tech is one of just 14 schools in the nation that has both its men's and women's programs in the Top 25. Joining Texas Tech are California, Duke, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Ole Miss, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC and Virginia.
The Red Raiders are making their 36th straight appearance in the ITA Top 25, while the Lady Raiders are appearing for the second consecutive week.
The Texas Tech men dropped two spots in this week's computer rankings after being idle last week. The Lady Raiders moved up one spot to No. 20 after upsetting then No. 12 Baylor, 4-3, to open Big 12 Conference play.
The Lady Raiders take on Cal Poly (6-5) on Wednesday at noon in San Luis Obispo, Calif. The Red Raiders host No. 41 Louisville on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the McCleod Tennis Center.
