Stanford Finishes Fourth at Vidalia Championship

LUBBOCK, Texas - Former Texas Tech women's golfer Tracy Stanford finished fourth this past weekend at the Symetra Tour's Vidalia Championship held at Hawk's Point Golf Club in Vidalia, Ga.

Standord opened the 54-hole event with a 3-under 69 that gave her a share of the first round lead before firing 72 and 73 cards to finish five strokes back of tournament champion Thidapa Suwannapura.

The Midland, Texas resident collected a $5,763 purse with the finish that marked her second top-10 performance in 2012.

Stanford recorded a 77.9 stroke average during her three seasons at Texas Tech from 2006-09. During that time, she also registered two top-five finishes while playing in 12 total tournaments.
