Tech Finishes Strong in Norman

NORMAN, Okla. -- The Texas Tech women's golf team finished the Schooner Fall Classic with its best round of the tournament on Monday to move up to 13th after a 4-over par 284 at Belmar Golf Club.
The Lady Raiders tied Georgia and Florida State for the seventh-best team round Monday.
Once again it was junior newcomer Stephanie Bertelsen pacing the way for Tech, shooting an even-par 70 in her final round to finish in 16th at 8-over par (74-74-70--218) for the tournament. Sophomore Kimmy Hill was equally impressive with an even round to finish just one shot behind Bertelsen at 9-over par in 19th place (74-75-70--219).
Junior Elin Arvidsson and senior Hannah Arnold were each two shots back for the day with a pair of 2-over 72s, while redshirt freshman Victoria Uresti shot her best round of the week with an 8-over 78.
NEXT UP: The Lady Raiders will get two weeks to practice at home before heading to Las Vegas on Oct. 27-29 for the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at Stallion Mountain Golf Club.
