Red Raiders in the NFL: Week 10 Recap

Jace Amaro caught the second touchdown of his career Sunday in New York's 20-13 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He continues to lead all rookie tight ends with 34 receptions and 291 yards this season.

Week 10 Matchup: Jets 20, Steelers 13
Amaro helped to break an 8-game losing streak Sunday in the Jets' 20-13 victory over the Steelers. Amaro's two receptions resulted in six yards and his second career touchdown. The five-yard touchdown reception marked the largest first-quarter lead in franchise history at 17 points. He continues to lead all rookie tight ends with 34 receptions and 291 yards so far this season. The Jets will take on the Bills on Nov. 23 after the bye week. Amaro played three seasons at Texas Tech (2011-13) before being drafted in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
Danny Amendola (WR) - New England Patriots
Week 10 Matchup: Open
Amendola and the New England Patriots had a bye during week 10 preparing for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. Amendola has contributed to the Patriots' 7-2 record with his seven receptions for 82 yards and one touchdown. Amendola played four seasons at Texas Tech (2004-07) before signing as an undrafted free agent in 2008 with the Dalas Cowboys. He signed with the Patriots prior to the 2013 season after spending the previous four years with the St. Louis Rams.
Michael Crabtree (WR) - San Francisco 49ers
Week 10 Matchup: 49ers 27, Saints 24
Crabtree and the 49ers fought for the 27-24 overtime win over the Saints this past Sunday. Crabtree had three receptions for 62 yards. His 51-yard reception set up the 49ers for the game-tying field goal to send the game into overtime. Crabtree continues to contribute to the success of the 49ers with 40 receptions for 424 yards as he is among the team's leading receivers this season. The two-time Biletnikoff Award winner played two seasons at Tech (2007-08) before being selected with the 10th overall pick by San Francisco in the 2009 NFL Draft.

Week 10 Matchup: Cardinals 31, Rams 14
Davis and the Rams faced a tough 31-14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals this past Sunday where Davis recorded one tackle during the game. He has a total of three tackles and one forced fumble on the season. Davis and the Rams look to bounce back from the loss this upcoming Sunday in a home game against Denver. Davis was a four-year letterman with the Red Raiders (2009-12) before signing an undrafted free agent agreement with the Rams in 2013.

The Broncos recorded 471 yards of total offense in the 41-17 win over the Raiders. The offensive line didn't allow a sack during the win for the third time this season. The Denver offensive line was able to hold off the Raiders, allowing Payton Manning to complete 31 passes while also creating gaps for leading rusher C.J. Anderson. Ramirez and the offensive line have only allowed nine sacks through ten games this season. The Broncos are averaging 414.7 yards per game, which is third in the NFL behind the Colts and the Saints. Ramirez and the Broncos look to improve on their 7-2 season this Sunday against the Rams. Ramirez played four seasons at Texas Tech (2003-06) before being selected in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions.
Louis Vasquez (OL) - Denver Broncos
Week 10 Matchup: Broncos 41, Raiders 17

LaAdrian Waddle (OL) - Detroit Lions
Week 10 Matchup: Lions 20, Dolphins 16
Waddle was able to start for the Lions in the 20-16 victory against the Dolphins after sustaining a head injury during a few weeks ago against New Orleans. Waddle was forced out of the game in the second half due to a knee injury, though. He has previously missed four games this season because of calf and concussion injuries. When healthy, Waddle has started at right tackle for the Lions, who are 7-2 this year heading into this Sunday's game at Arizona. Waddle played four seasons at Texas Tech (2009-12) before being signed by the Lions as an undrafted free agent.
Wes Welker (WR) - Denver Broncos
Week 10 Matchup: Broncos 41, Raiders 17
Welker recorded four receptions for 24 yards in the Broncos' win against the Raiders last Sunday. He remains among the top five receivers for Denver through nine games this season with 26 receptions for 236 yards. Now in his 10th year in the NFL, Welker has 867 receptions during his career which is the most ever by an undrafted player in league history. He previously passed former Denver Broncos wideout Rod Smith, who caught 849 passes during his career. Welker is in his second season with the Broncos after spending the previous six years with the New England Patriots. The former Red Raider has totaled an impressive 9,594 yards and 49 touchdowns during his career. Welker spent four seasons at Tech (2000-03) before being signed as an undrafted free agent in 2004 by the San Diego Chargers.
