Wilson To Lead Team Texas In Shreveport

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech men's tennis assistant coach James Wilson has been named the captain of Team Texas for the USTA Boys and Girls 16s Intersectional Team Championships slated for mid-July in Shreveport, Louisiana.
"This is a great opportunity for myself and Texas Tech Tennis," said Wilson. "It is an opportunity to work with some of the top junior players. It is also a chance to expose them to Texas Tech."
Team Texas is one of 17 sections competing in the event. The team features four boys and four girls, who will compete in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Different players may be used in singles and doubles. The results of all matches will be included in the data for the national rankings.
