Four Red Raiders in Contention For Eisenhower Trophy

LUBBOCK, Texas – Four Texas Tech men’s golf team members currently have their teams in contention at the 29th Annual World Amateur Team Championships in Japan at Karuizawa 72 Golf East.
Sophomore Hannes Ronneblad, freshman Guillermo Pereira and seniors Matias Dominguez and Clement Sordet are representing three countries in the tournament.
Ronneblad (69-74-64—207) is the second lowest scorer for Sweden at 7-under par, who is in second place in the team standings behind the United States by three strokes heading into the final day.
Sordet (71-69-70—210) is also the second leading scorer for France who is tied for ninth through three rounds.
Tech golfers Dominguez and Pereira make up two-thirds of the Chile team, who are tied for 17th. Dominguez is the team’s low scorer at 11-under (67-68-68—203) while Perreira is at 4-under (69-71-70—210).
The teams will finish up the final round from Japan on Saturday.
