No. 51 Lady Raiders to Compete in Betsy Rawls Invitational

The 51st-ranked Lady Raiders will travel to Austin, Texas to continue the fall slate of tournaments appearing in the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational hosted by the University of Texas and the UT Golf Club.
The Lady Raiders will compete in the 14 team field over the course of two days on the 6,298 yard par 72 UT Golf Club Course. Also appearing in the field of teams is No. 8 Kent State, No. 22 UNLV, No. 24 Houston and No. 25 New Mexico. Big 12 foes Oklahoma and Texas will also be competing in the event.
Texas Tech has enjoyed tremendous success in the first two tournaments they have played in claiming two tournament championships and securing two top ten finishes including a fourth place finish at the Jim West Challenge just two weeks ago.
The Lady Raiders are led by sophomore Gabby Barker who has been tabbed as the nation's fifth best women's collegiate golfer by GolfWeek.com. Barker earned co-champion honors in her last outing, tying Kent State's Michaela Finn with a three day score of 211 (-5).
The Red Raiders will begin the two day event on Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. Second round action will follow in the afternoon. The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with third round play commencing with another 8:30 a.m. start.
