Texas Tech Golf to Compete in Jim West Challenge

The Lady Raiders will hit the course for their second fall tournament Sunday as the Team travels to Boerne, Texas to compete in the Jim West Challenge hosted by Texas State at the Tapatio Springs Resort.
Six of the teams in the 13-team field rank in the top 30 of the most recent Golfweek/Sagarin rankings including No. 9 Kent State, No. 18 Texas A&M and No. 21 Illinois.
"I'm looking forward to the team getting back on the course and competing again," said head coach JoJo Robertson. "We've had a good break since our first tournament and have had the chance to work on some things and prepare. This tournament has a very strong field so we'll get to see how well we stack up."
The Three day tournament is scheduled to begin on Sunday morning with the first rounds of teams teeing off at 9:00 a.m. on the 6,373 yard par 72 course. Live results will be available for fans who wish to follow the action on Birdiefire.com.
