LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech picked up its 12th win of the season, as the Red Raiders blanked Nevada, 6-0, on Saturday night at The Falls Athletic Club.
The match was moved indoors due to the inclement weather, causing singles to be played first.
Freshman Alex Sendegeya got the day started with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Fernando Sunago at No. 3. It was Sendegeya's sixth straight win and 13th of the season after joining the squad in January.
Sophomore Jolan Cailleau, who is ranked No. 111, followed suit with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 4 over Nevada's Robert Allan. For Cailleau, it was his seventh straight win, as he improved to 18-8 on the season.
Tech's No. 38 Felipe Soares improved to 15-9 with a 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 win over Andre Poustie to extend Texas Tech's lead to 3-0. Hugo Dojas clinched the win with a 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 win at No. 2 and improved to 12-5 on the season.
Connor Curry added a 6-2, 6-3 win over Mile Cilic at No. 5, while Francisco Zambon added a 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 win at No. 6 to close out the match.
The Red Raiders return to action on March 13 at noon, as Texas Tech faces San Diego at the McLeod Tennis Center.
