No. 13 Texas Tech Visits No. 28 San Diego State

The Red Raiders are back on the road and in California against another ranked opponent with a three-game series at No. 28 San Diego State. Tech sophomore RHP Ryan Moseley will start the series opener on Friday.

LEADING OFF
No. 13 Texas Tech (12-4) returns to California for the second straight weekend taking on its second straight ranked opponent facing No. 28 San Diego State (14-3) for a three-game series, March 13-15, at Tony Gwynn Stadium in San Diego. It marks the first time in school history that Tech has played back-to-back road non-conference series against ranked opponents. Last weekend Tech went 0-3 at No. 30 Cal State Fullerton. The Red Raiders are coming off a sweep over New Mexico State (4-3, 7-4) in a midweek two-game set at Rip Griffin Park in Lubbock. The Red Raiders won on Tuesday in come-from-behind fashion with a 12-inning victory and scored four runs in the sixth inning on Wednesday on their way to a 7-4 victory over the NM State Aggies. The Aztecs are off to their best start since 1997 while their .321 batting average and .983 fielding percentage are both best in the Mountain West. SDSU has won 9 of its last 11 while coming off a midweek road victory at Long Beach State, 16-1, on Tuesday. The Aztecs are 9-1 at home this season.
