EAGLE, Idaho -- Texas Tech Lady Raider golfer Gabby Barker won the Pacific Northwest Amateur Championship by six strokes, at BanBury Golf Course, in Eagle, Idaho, on Wednesday.

Playing just 19 miles from her home town of Caldwell, Idaho, Barker was brilliant over both rounds of competition. She followed up the three-under par 68 she shot on Tuesday with a five-under par 66 on Wednesday. Both of her rounds were the low rounds of the tournament.

"This is a great win for Gabby and I couldn't be happier for her," Texas Tech head coach JoJo Robertson said. "Gabby has really developed her game and has proven that she can play with the best. I'm looking forward to having her be one of our leaders this year."

Barker finished with an eight-under par 134 for the tournament, one of just three players to shoot in the red for the tournament.
